we like : nuance silicone spatula
A brief spell in the kitchen rustling up yet another culinary masterpiece (well, if I’m being completely honest, a bacon sandwich!) has just reminded me how much I like the Nuance silicone spatula. It’s perfectly weighted and feels great to use.
Nuance say:-
“The NUANCE Spatula is not only an attractive kitchen tool. It’s quite simply a bit more thought-through and practical in daily use compared to other spatulas.
This stiff, silicone-coated spatula is round on one side and angular on the other. This makes it equally useful for bowls and pots. The silicone material can withstand temperatures up to 300°C, meaning the spatula can be used with hot pans, for example – including non-stick ones.
The handle is designed to give you a firm grip no matter how you choose to hold the spatula. The NUANCE Spatula is a tool you’ll be more and more pleased to have around.”

just arrived : pink sun jar
It seems to be the time of year for new colours, we’ve had the blue james the doorman & bookends and now Suck UK have added Pink Sun Jars to the existing range of yellow and blue.
If you haven’t seen the Sun Jars before, they are basically a traditional, but frosted, Mason jar with a highly efficient solar cell, rechargeable battery and low energy LED lamps.
When the jar is placed in sunlight the solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. This energy is then used at night to power the three LED lamps inside the jar. The light sensor inside the jar automatically activates the light when it gets dark (or when the lights are swicthed off) and switches if off again when it gets light.
And, being made from a food Mason jar, it’s water tight, so you can leave it outside on the patio.

coming soon : cozy remote caddy

Jamie and Mark from j-me have been busy over the last few months, we’ve seen the new nest shoe racks, the wave coat racks, the cactus wine rack and now, to make a change from designing racks, the cozy remote caddy.
Unless you’ve splashed out on a nice all in one remote control (which, in my opinion, tend to be wildly over complicated and never quite cover all the functions of the proper remote) then you’ve probably got an ever increasing number of remote controls kicking round in your living room. The j-me cozy remote caddy is a stylish way to keep all those remotes nicely stored in one place (and you can put your mobile in it as well if you like).
j-me say:-
“ever thought that your remotes need a home that’s not down the back of the sofa? why not invest in a sculptural piece that can store up to 4 remote controls. this tasteful solution adds a visual splash of style to your living room.”
Available from Monday (link to be posted soon) for £12, it’s a great addition to your living room and makes and excellent and slightly unsual gift.

coming soon : menu mobile phone charger tray
Currently on their way to us from Denmark, the mobile phone charger tray is a brilliant idea from Menu.
The black titanium charger tray hangs over your mobile phone charger when it’s plugged in and creates a handy little shelf you can put your phone on to charge. A simple but great idea.
Menu say:-
“Does your mobile phone dangle from a wire or lie on the floor while charging? Here is an elegant solution that will protect your most important communication tool: the Black Titanium Charger Tray.
It almost resembles a miniature version of a modern chair, but don’t be mistaken! It fits almost any mobile phone and any charger, and you do away with wires that do little more than take up space.

The Charger Tray is a part of Menu’s latest series of streamlined and stylish accessories designed by Aurélien Barbry of France.
The entire series exudes quality and exclusive design – combined with Menu’s hallmark: functional ingenuity.”
This item will be available from next week for £24.99 at ezstyle.co.uk
More items from the Menu range can be found here
